Welcome 2027 under the desert stars

New Year's Eve in the Thar Desert is unlike any city party. The evening starts with a camel ride into the dunes at sunset, moves on to Rajasthani folk music and Kalbelia dance, a gala dinner and a bonfire under the stars, and ends with a midnight countdown and cake.

Every package includes your stay at the camp, so nobody has to drive back to the city after the party. Choose a simple one-night celebration, our own Thar Resort with both safaris and a private car, or two unhurried nights with private experiences.

    Private sedan pickup in Jaisalmer and check-in at Thar Resort from 1 pm. Welcome drink, then a sunset camel safari and a jeep dune drive. Tea and snacks, Rajasthani folk music and Kalbelia dance, then the gala buffet. DJ and bonfire after dinner, midnight countdown and cake cutting. Overnight in your Luxury Swiss Tent Cottage.

Package prices are per couple, two adults sharing one tent. Per-person price = per-couple price ÷ 2. Maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children, per tent.

Terms

Booking and cancellation

One set of terms for all three packages.

Payment

  • 50% advance confirms the booking. 31 December is a single fixed night that cannot be resold late.
  • Balance due by 15 December 2026.
  • Bookings made after 15 December: 100% at booking.
  • Booking voucher sent on WhatsApp and email within 24 hours of payment.

Date and name changes

  • Dates cannot be changed, because the package is for one fixed night.
  • The booking can be passed to another guest name until 24 December.

Cancellation charges

  1. On or before 30 November 2026 25% of package price
  2. 1 to 15 December 2026 50%
  3. After 15 December 2026, or no-show 100%
  • If a government order stops the DJ, music or fireworks, the stay, dinner and other services still go ahead and no partial refund is given for the stopped item.
  • Refunds are processed within 7 to 10 working days to the original payment method.

Good to know

  • Valid photo ID for every adult at check-in.
  • Please do not drive after the party. The package includes your stay so nobody travels back at night.
  • Desert nights in late December are cold: bring warm layers.
  • Veg and Jain meals on request.

Questions, answered

Which dates do the New Year packages cover?

Budget and Standard are for one night, 31 December 2026 to 1 January 2027. Premium is two nights, 30 December 2026 to 1 January 2027.

Are the prices per person or per couple?

Prices are per couple, for two adults sharing one tent. The per-person price is half the couple price. GST is charged as applicable.

Which package should I choose?

Budget (New Year Dunes Night) is a simple, affordable night at a partner camp. Standard (Thar Resort New Year Celebration) adds our own AC Luxury Swiss Tent Cottage, both safaris, a non-veg gala menu, a DJ and a private car. Premium (Royal Thar New Year Retreat) adds a second night, the Private Pool tent, a private SUV, private safaris, stargazing, a photoshoot and a reserved gala table.

Do we have to travel back to the city after midnight?

No. Every package includes your night at the camp, so you celebrate, sleep at the camp and return after breakfast on 1 January.

What does it cost for children, an extra adult or a single guest?

Children under 6 sharing the bed stay free. Children 6 to 11 are ₹2,499 (Budget), ₹3,499 (Standard) or ₹5,999 (Premium, 2 nights). An extra adult is ₹4,499, ₹6,999 or ₹11,999. A single guest with their own tent pays ₹8,999, ₹18,999 or ₹34,999.

Can I change my date?

No, because the package is for one fixed night. You can pass the booking to another guest name until 24 December.

How do I book?

A 50% advance confirms the booking and the balance is due by 15 December 2026. Bookings made after 15 December are paid in full. You receive the voucher on WhatsApp and email within 24 hours.

Is it cold at night?

Yes, desert nights in late December are cold, so please bring warm layers.
